Chicco Nextfit Review
Chicco, the leading European brand came out with their first US offered convertible car seat the Chicco Nextfit 65 in April 2013. Before the stores where able to start selling there had been a lot of hype on the net about this Chicco car seat, was this warranted?
It’s been over a month now since the Nextfit has hit the stores and the reviews are coming in. From what I have seen people are loving their car seat and in genereal the hype seems to be holding up and people around the world are very happy with their purchase. Lets take a look at what makes the Chicco Nextfit so great and why you should think of getting one yourself!
It is suitable for newborns to toddlers of 65 lbs making this a very economical seat. It rear faces from 5-22lbs and foreward facing from 22-65 lbs! What I really like here is the added touch of the adjustable headrest. It comes with 6 positions and has an integrated auto-widen harness to accommodate older kids! The headrest also has side impact protection.
One of the main features that attracted me to the Nextfit is the 9 reclining positions which enables this convertible car seat to fit into almost any car.
Many parents use rolled up towels or blankets to get the right angle for their car seat, with the many positions that the Nextfit offers, this strategy is no longer needed. It is also suitable for traveling on airplanes, its a tall car seat, large but not huge.
Another major feature is that it is really easy to install. They have used new technology namely the SuperCinch Latch technology, allowing you to easily get a tight and secure fit and “revolutionary flowthrough integrated belt path” which together makes installation a breeze. The car seat also comes with bubble indicators on both sides of the seat enabling you to ensure that your baby or child is at the correct angle and height at all times.
It is made with a steel frame and EPS foam for side impact protection, together helping to reduce crash forces in the event of a car accident.
